We specialize in assessing biomechanical function of cardiomyocytes. Our system is designed to simultaneously measure high-resolution calcium transients and contractile kinetics of adult mammalian cardiomyocytes, neonatal cardiomyocytes, and stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes. This allows us to assess new cardiac therapies, understand cellular function, and identify molecular mechanisms of heart function underlying normal physiology and disease.
