Mechanism of Action: Spatial Transcriptomics of Inflammation
Mechanism of Action
Spatial Transcriptomics of Inflammation
Inflammation is a natural defensive mechanism to a variety of insults (e.g. disease, infections, etc.). However, in chronic diseases, the inflammatory response can not be turned off and can become maladaptive and exacerbate the disease severity. The immune cells that mediate the balance between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines can have highly local effects. Our goal is to combine the latest spatial transcriptomics, traditional histology, and multiplexed inflammatory biomarker panels to determine where and how inflammatory signaling is mediated in disease.
